Travel Policies

For any travel insurance claim, ensure that the policy you hold covers you for a particular loss. Take your policy with you when you travel – or a copy of it – and list all the details of any very expensive item (camera, jewelry, gadgets, etc.) that you plan to take as well. Make sure that your valuables, passport and extra cash are locked in the hotel safe as much as possible. If and when something is stolen, and if you plan to claim for it, report it to the police immediately after learning the incident. Many companies will not pay out without a police report.
